Gena Kuwan Ceramic Bowl - White
The organic marbled swirl on these stoneware bowls comes from mixing dark Kuro-Neri soil with a lighter Sheri-Neri soil which is then hand-spun on a potter's wheel making each piece completely unique. The bowls' gentle curves give them a delicate appearance, but each one was finished in a white-hot kiln giving them a deceiving strength. Display one as a standalone piece of art or use them every day to hold fruit or serve rice.

The Gena Kuwan brand is a concept thought up by MISHIM designer Makiko Doi. To create Gena's pieces, Doi partners with Nankei Touen, a family-run ceramic shop Yokkaichi City whose products are all handmade by specialist Artisans.
