Kosuga Okyakubashi Chopstick

Hand-carved in Kyoto, these shapely chopsticks are simple in appearance and light to the touch. Kosuga utilizes the full potential of bamboo as a natural material in these chopsticks. 'Okyakubashi' means 'guest chopsticks', and are perfect for casual occasions with guests.

Each chopstick is made from natural bamboo strips and features unique variations. 

History: 
Since its establishment in 1890, the Kohchosai Kosuga company has been dedicated to exploring the qualities of bamboo at their facilities. Kohchosai Kosuga specialized in fine bamboo arts and crafts and produces a wide range of products, such as flower baskets, tableware, bags, and lighting. The craftspeople at Kosuga are true innovators of the medium - shepherding bamboo into contemporary culture that extends well beyond Japan while using traditional techniques passed down through 5 generations.

 

Measurement:
9 in x 0.15 in x 0.15 in 

Materials: 
Bamboo strips, lacquer and varnish finish

Care Instructions:
Handwash only - dry immediately after use to preserve these chopsticks. 

 

Returns must be made within 2 weeks in original, unused condition with all packaging for either 1. Store credit for the full amount or 2. Refund - minus a 20% restocking fee.  Tortoise does not cover the cost of return shipping or the cost of re-shipping an exchange, and the cost of shipping for returns and exchanges is the responsibility of the customer.
